Hi,
I have an email address field in my new entity that can be an email address outside the organization (gmail, yahoo, etc.). My problem is I cannot use this email address field to populate Assigned To in Start an Approval flow. It keeps prompting me an error "Assigned To missing" eventhough it has a value. My assumption is that it requires an email address linked to a user in CRM.
We tried using the Send email with Options but this doesn't fit the requirement as we need the approval comments and we need to link the email to the record.
Are there any other ways to accomplish approval with same feature as "Start an Approval" flow?
